What do the different areas in the KVIK application mean?

To ensure safe operation, we have created different types of zones in the KVIK application. These areas were identified with the support of the city municipalities and based on the accessibility of the area, traffic, infrastructure, demand, etc. Find out more about our areas below:

● Low speed areas - The yellow areas on the KVIK map are slow areas.

They are shown in certain areas where you should not drive so fast and where your KVIK e-scooter will automatically run slightly slower (~15km/hour). Regardless of whether you are in a slow zone or not, you should always be aware of your surroundings, pedestrians and other road users.

● Mandatory parking spaces - in some cities you can only park in conveniently marked parking spaces (marked in blue). Plan your trip before you travel so that you end up finding the best place.

● Outside the KVIK zone (red zone) - it is forbidden to drive a KVIK scooter outside the KVIK zone. The red zone marks the end of the KVIK zone from the surrounding area. Your scooter will slow down to a pedestrian speed orcome to a complete stop and you will not be able to complete the ride.

Move it to a place where it is allowed to park.

I cannot end the e-scooter ride.

If you are unable to end the ride, please check the following:

● Are you located in an appropriate parking zone? You can park your scooter only in designated parking areas (marked in blue on the map). If you are in a no-parking zone, you will need to go to one of the parking spaces in order to finish your trip.

● Is there enough internet connection in your area? It often helps to movearound a bit to get abetter connection and try to end the ride again.

● Restart the App and try the steps again.
